Hello and welcome to our new website. We are a medium sized "open" Scout group based at the Church Hall at Saint Andrew's, located on the traffic island in the middle of the Duke Bar gyratory system in Burnley, Lancashire. Our sections include a Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack and a Scout Troop. We also have an Adventurer Unit which although it is not affiliated to the Scout Association, is run along the ethics and foundings of Scouting for young adults. Scouting has welcomed girls in to it's various ranks for quite a few years, however since the 1st January 2007 Scouting officially became co-educational by law and so we happily welcome new members from either gender. Scouting is for everyone and therefore we also welcome members regardless of background, religion and disability. Cubs and Scouts meet most Wednesday evenings, 6:30pm to 8:30pm, during term time and have at least one camping expedition per year plus organise many activities for our members during the year. Beavers and Adventurer's meet Thursday nights (Beavers 6:15pm to 7:15pm Adventurer's afterwards). The church is also home to traditional, female only sections such as Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. Brownies and Guides meet Monday evenings, Rainbows on Thursday - call in for more details about joining.SECTION INFORMATION Beaver Colony - We currently have places for children aged between 6 and 8 .
